I can still remember the very first time I heard the name Zig Ziglar. I was working in corporate America and it had just been announced that Zig Ziglar and his team would be coming in to train the sales staff.
It wasn?t until years later, when I actually became an entrepreneur and began studying the greatest entrepreneur and motivational speakers of our time, reading his books and attending his seminars, that I really understood the overwhelming value and impact of the man they called Zig Ziglar.
While Zig Ziglar may be gone in body, his spirit can and will still be felt for eons to come. Zig Ziglar wasn?t just a motivational speaker, he was a force of nature that any and every aspiring entrepreneur knew. His impact was deep and knowledge was vast. He was celebrated by many ? from all backgrounds and walks of life. Zig Ziglar was in the business of changing lives. His teachings has electric, inspirational, God-filled, and bold.
He passed today today after a short bout with pneumonia at the age of 86. According to a message on his Facebook Fan Page:
? Though his time on earth has ended, he is speaking with Jesus now in his heavenly home. The angels in heaven are rejoicing and his family is celebrating a life well lived.?
Known by many as ?The Master of Motivation? Zig Ziglar was more than a man, more than a entrepreneur, he was a LEGEND. An iconic trainer that influenced many from corporate executives to home based business owners.
What attracted me to Zig Ziglar was his ability to simplify the obvious, to help you believe in your character as a person, while showing you the skills your needed to maximize your potential. Zig Ziglar taught us how to be successful in life, not just in business. He showed us through his best-selling books and audios how to live a fulfilled life, not just one filled with money and material things.
Character and attitude were the foundational principles of his motivational programs and books which have been worldwide in a number of different languages through? multiple channels including the Ziglar website, Amazon.com, and the world?s largest producer of audio programs, Nightingale-Conant.
Zig Ziglar?s sphere of influence was able to spanned from the homeless to the white house. He was a presidential consultant to at least 6 presidents and appeared with business leaders, famous authors, world-changers and even celebrities. Ziglar was more than a man, he was a brand. A brand that shifted the way people viewed and approached business, relationships and life. He encouraged a generation of aspiring entrepreneurs and relationship builders including myself to reach beyond themselves and strive to impact the world on an entirely different level.
